The owners of this place set out to break the mold of the standard brew pub, and they've done a darned good job. This isn't one of those fern-bar furnished places that attracts the under-30s hipsters. It's a place where regular folk feel at home kicking back for a pint of perfection.The place may add a bit of lightheartedness to the names of its brews: Bubbaganouj Ale; Blackbird Porter; Sasquatch Stout; and during December, Grinch Holiday Ale. However, the rich-bodied, satisfying beers are taken very seriously. Cask-conditioned ales, called Firkin Beers, are produced in the traditional English style. Pints of beer start at around $2.50.
